On the first Sunday of every month, we hold our monthly corporate prayer
meeting at LIFE and
we would like for you to be a part of it.
Why corporate prayer? One of the key values that
marked the
early church is the coming together as one. Both words, "together"
and "one," are frequently used in the book of Acts as well as many of
the writings of the Apostle Paul to describe the importance of the body
of
Christ (church) to be united.
Corporate prayer is just that: the body of Christ
coming together for the purpose of prayer.
Why should I be there? During our
corporate prayer time, we
lift up the needs of the body -- together. God has been doing some
amazing
things at LIFE this year -- both for individuals, families, and as a
church
body.
There is much to be thankful for, but there is also a lot to be
prayerful
about:
1) we need God's wisdom in finding our place
of permanency
as a church;
2) we need God's direction in preparing for
the growth He
intends to give;
3) we need to beg the 'Lord of the harvest'
to send laborers
into the harvest;
4) we need to continue to ask God to draw people to Himself
and for those whom He has already drawn to lead them to the first step
of
obedience in baptism;
5) we need God's wisdom in carrying
out His vision of living relationally and loving responsively in every
aspect
of our church;
There is a time and place to pray privately; there is a time to pray
for the needs of others; but then there is also that time when the body
needs to come together and pray for the needs of the body. That is what
we want to invite you to. You'll be amazed at what God can and will do
when His people come together and pray.
So why not join in on May 2 at 7.00am?
